can i as a non resident buy and register a motorcycle in germany?

Visiting Germany for the summer. Would like to buy a motorcycle, register it, and keep it here for future visits. We can use our hosts address. Is it legal to do so? If it is, how do we go about it.

    It is legal, you don’t have to be a resident. Just go to the KfZ-Zulassungsstelle (ask your host for the right one) and register your bike.
