Dang! That’s asking alot!
Well here’s my 2 cents:
I have a 2003 ZX6RR and it’s incredibly fast at 160 MPH. Very reliable, it has never been in the shop for any problems and I’ve had it for two years and 20K miles. Very low maintenance since it’s fuel injected like most cars today. Affordable? Well a new one will set you back around $8,500, so no it’s not affordable. But it gives me great gas mileage for a super sportbike 45 MPG.
For a newbie I would recommend a Ninja 250 or 500.
I hope this helps!
Yamaha FZS1000 does almost everything well. Incredible bike. Cheap too.
IMHO i think the best road bike would be a ZZR600E (ZX6) they are hugely practical fast (160mph) comfortable strongly built with kwak build quality and parts are easily sourced as they are a very long running model. it’s classed as a sports tourer so should be a little cheaper on insurance too, expect around 40mpg and £2000 (circa $3200) should get a very clean low mileage unmolested example
