  • No, neither is required to make the purchase. Now on the other hand, you will need both to actually ride your new bike in public roadways.

  • not if your paying cash.

if your financing you will need insurance and a license.
you can sometimes get away with a permit though!!
    money talks..cash = need nothing

  • as far as i know you are not required to have either to purchase a bike.

  • In the state of Florida, you do not need any type of insurance to ride your motorcyle on a public road. But, if you finance the motorcycle, In most cases, the finance company will require that you carry full coverage.
If you pay for the bike in cash, then no insurance is needed.
You do not need a motorcycle license in FL to purchase a motorcycle but you DO need to have a motorcycle license or permit to operate a motorcycle on a public highway.
    Hope that helps

  • Take it to Auto Zone and they can run a free diagnostic test for you. This will usually tell you what’s wrong.

  • No, but you need them to ride it.

Not to buy one but if you want to ride it yes. You can get your learners license that is good for 6 months.

  • hell u could buy a cage with no lic or insurance…but if u plan on drivin it off the lot, u would need it. is no different for bikes. if the dealer in question is like the hd dealer here, u wont even get the keys to ride it off the lot if u dont show proof of insurance. ohio is a real bitc-h about insurance.

  • The shop will help you with the insurance but you need at least apermit to ride away on your new bike. However do yourself a huge favor and sign up for Rider Training:

If you want to keep the freedom to ride consider joining ABATE too:

Then take a nice ride to the Keys:
