I took the trip from Yangshou towards Guilin it lasted about 2 hours .I stayed in Yangshou less touts to bother you .Be careful how you book hotels will charge you 400 yuan a travel agent 200Yuan when I asked the reason why at a hotel in Guilin I was told it is 200 if you speak Chinese 400 if you do not..Yangshou is worth a visit cost 10 yuan by buss from out side the train station caves also worth a visit
I have taken the Li River cruise (Day time, 3-4 hours) and Two River-Five Lake cruise (Night time, 1.5-2 hours). Both are wonderful. Don’t know much about the sunrise Cruise.
Bamboo Raft float off Yangshuo is also very fun.
Guilin don’t usually get too cold in November, but it is better to go when the water is high.
careful we got robbed there by locals on a motorcycle.
We told the cops and they told us that this kind of things happen often and go find help else where.
